Liguria #1

Nov 17, 2009

Frida came over for All Saints break. A chance to test out the new Ektar 100. We crossed the border and after a quick stop in Genoa, headed to Cinque Terre, a group of five cliff-hanging villages on the ligurian coast of Italy. We stayed in Vernazza, the most quiet and best preserved in my opinion. It's mostly trails and you can't go by car, so you won't really hear any engine except for for trains and scooters. Ideal change of air. Food is excellent too.

Hotel room, Vernazza. Really like her expression when she wakes up.

Doors locked at Monterosso, had to stay on the train till La Spezia. F and my hoodie.

Villagers go out in their boat every morning, for some old school fishing.

Creek over the crest south of Riomaggiore, remote from the flow of tourists. Felt good taking a dip after hiking for three hours.
